Three historical medallions, which each displayed an eye depiction of Leopold, Philippe and Charlotte, once reminisced the love Louise held for her children. The pieces offered Louise small loving gazes in which Louise could gratefully lose herself, almost as if these eye miniatures served as three bejewelled ‘peekaboos!’. According to her hagiographers and biographers, Louise carried out her motherly role in a devoted way. I, as a creator, therefore felt tempted to make her a new child. Our child. As such, these three new medallions, which can be worn separately or grouped together, do not honour her children from the past, but one, still unknown, entirely fictional girl. This girl was born from a morphing generator, which merged a painted portrait of Louise and a passport photo of me, the maker. Our features fused into one another, which is how our miracle daughter came into the world. In doing so, Louise is granted the chance to continue her role of the eternal mother.

« B. Un médaillon semblable aussi orné d’un côté d’une bande de pierreries & contenant à l’intérieur l’œil du prince Philippe peint en miniature, à l’intérieur se trouve gravé ‘Janvier 1842’ »
« C. Un médaillon semblable aux deux premiers, également orné d’une bande de pierreries & contenant à l’intérieur l’œil de la Princesses Charlotte peint en miniature & à l’intérieur se trouve gravé ‘1844’. »
